The City of Woodstock may have another Ontario Municipal Board appeal on their hands. This comes after council voted 4-3 against a proposed zoning change that would see a crematorium built north of Seagrave Road. Part Owner of Ontario Cremation Services, Carl Good says up until the beginning of the week, he felt council was on board with the change. "And because council had approved this previously, and I think the City Planner had endorsed it. Earlier today I received a report from City Hall here that the Thames River Authority also made the recommendation that they have no problem with the zoning change and that they did not feel there would be any environmental impact." Good says Woodstock is where he wants to be and although he may consider other locations for his business, he felt the proposed site was perfect. He says he has an option to appeal the decision to the Ontario Municipal Board but isn't sure which direction he will head at this time.
