Most of the new cases continue to come from hot spot regions with 343 new cases in Toronto, 235 in Peel and 105 in York Region.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 1,185 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 311,112.
Ontario also confirmed 6 new deaths today bringing the total to 7,083. Another 972 cases have been labelled resolved, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 292,806. The Province also confirmed over a 29 new variant cases over the weekend, this means we now have a total of 908 cases of the variant that originated in the U.K, 39 of the variant traced back to South Africa and 17 that originated in Brazil.
The province completed over 33,264 tests yesterday. We currently have 689 COVID-19 patients in the hospital with 290 people in the ICU and 184 in the ICU on a ventilator. Most of the new cases continue to come from hot spot regions with 343 new cases in Toronto, 235 in Peel and 105 in York Region.
