The Province of Ontario has confirmed 153 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, they also confirmed a 149 cases yesterday after taking a brief pause, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 35,370.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 153 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, they also confirmed a 149 cases yesterday bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 35,370.
The Province did not release the data on Canada Day.
The Province also confirmed another 8 deaths bringing the total number of people who have died from the virus to 2,680 have died from COVID-19 in Ontario and 1,712 of those deaths were residents in Long Term Care Homes. Meanwhile another 204 people have made a full recovery, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 30,730.
5,488 of the COVID-19 cases in Ontario since the pandemic started were residents of Long Term Care Homes and 2,290 cases are from health care workers.
We currently have 119 COVID-19 patients in the hospital, 40 are in the ICU and 26 are in the ICU on a ventilator. The Province completed 24,322 tests yesterday.
