Ontario is reporting over 2,000 new cases of COVID-19 for the second day in a row. The Province also confirmed 1,675 resolved cases.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 2,169 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 338,239.
The Province confirmed another 12 COVID-19 related deaths this morning, bringing the total in Ontario to 7,292. Another 1,675 cases have been labelled resolved, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 314,384.
The province completed 53,436 tests yesterday. We currently have 913 COVID-19 patients in the hospital with 359 people in the ICU and 215 in the ICU on a ventilator. Over half of the new cases today are coming from hot spot regions with 682 new cases in Toronto, 397 in Peel, 254 in York Region, 129 in Ottawa, 123 in Durham and 122 in Hamilton.
