For the first time in over a month, the Province is reporting over 2,000 new cases of COVID-19 and 1,329 resolved cases.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 2,380 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 336,070. Today's case count is approximately 280 cases higher due to a data catch-up process related to the provincial CCM system.
The Province confirmed another 17 COVID-19 related deaths this morning, bringing the total in Ontario to 7,280. Another 1,329 cases have been labelled resolved, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 312,709.
The province completed 60,077 tests yesterday. We currently have 894 COVID-19 patients in the hospital with 332 people in the ICU and 212 in the ICU on a ventilator. Over half of the new cases today are coming from hot spot regions with 1,016 new cases in Toronto, 294 in Peel, 244 in York Region and 152 in Ottawa.
