The data today includes 80 cases from 2020 and the Province added 54 deaths from last month, so the actual numbers are lower.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 296 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 542,764. The numbers today include 80 from 2020, so the actual daily case number is much lower.
The Province confirmed 60 new COVID-19 related deaths this morning, however 54 of those deaths are from the previous month and being added to the data today and it brings the total in Ontario to 9,082. Another 442 cases have been labelled resolved, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 530,434.
The province completed 16,784 tests yesterday. We currently have 334 COVID-19 patients in the hospital with 314 people in the ICU and 202 in the ICU on a ventilator. The majority of the cases are coming from hot spot regions with 123 new cases in Toronto, 61 in the Region of Waterloo, 37 in York Region and 20 in Peel Region.
