Ontario is reporting just 525 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, after only completing just over 15,000 tests yesterday.
ONTARIO - The Province of Ontario has confirmed 525 new cases of COVID-19 this morning, bringing the total number of cases in the Province to 536,607.
The Province confirmed 15 new COVID-19 related deaths this morning, bringing the total in Ontario to 8,869. Another 941 cases have been labelled resolved, bringing the total number of resolved cases to 519,801.
The province completed 15,177 tests yesterday. We currently have 547 COVID-19 patients in the hospital with 497 people in the ICU and 339 in the ICU on a ventilator. The hospital numbers are likely higher, with around 10 percent of hospitals not reporting data. Most of the new cases are coming from hot spot regions with 114 new cases in Toronto, 95 in Peel, 51 in Waterloo, 40 in Durham and 34 in York Region.
