The Ontario Legislature will resume today following an extended summer break. Lieutenant Governor Elizabeth Dowdeswell will deliver the Progressive Conservative government's throne speech at 9:00 a.m.
It's expected to focus on pandemic recovery, but it could also include some new policies ahead of the upcoming provincial election.
Some of Ford's big promises from his 2018 election campaign remain unfulfilled at this time. This includes his pledge to cut income taxes, lower gas prices by 10 cents and his promise to sell beer and wine in corner stores.
