Striking PSWs will return to work on Friday as they await arbitration
Striking Red Cross Care Partners and Service Employees International Union personal support workers will head back to work on Friday as they await arbitration.
There are 165 PSW's that cover Oxford County, and 4500 province wide that walked off the job earlier this month.
The final contract offer was rejected on November 30th that offered a 10-cent per hour raise.
Arbitration will begin in January and Canadian Red Cross Society spokesperson Tanya Elliott says this is the most fair and neutral way to resolve a strike that could have gone on for much longer.
