Environment Canada says we could get 40 to 60 milimetres of rain by tomorrow morning.
OXFORD COUNTY - Don't forget your umbrella on your way out the door this morning.
We're currently under a rainfall warning in Oxford County, with Environment Canada predicting 40 to 60 milimetres of rain by tomorrow morning.
It's the remnants of Hurricane Beryl, and these types of storm systems could result in torrential downpours that could bring anywhere between 20 to 40 milimetres per hour.
If the heavy rain reduces your visibility on the roads, you should slow down, watch for taillights ahead of you and be prepared to stop.
The storm system is currently moving through southern Ontario, and officials say the rain should taper into scattered showers from west to east later tonight.
The Upper Thames River Conservation Authority is not expecting significant flooding at this time, but says we could see some flooding in the typical low-lying areas. It's warning people to stay away from local bodies of water because the water levels will be elevated over the next few days.
