The Woodstock Salvation Army is holding a fundraiser for the Divinity Foot Care Clinic inside their building.
WOODSTOCK - The Salvation Army in Woodstock is helping raise money for the Divinity Foot Care Clinic.
The clinic is inside the building where they treat clients who are less fortunate with different foot problems.
Owner of the Divinity Foot Care Clinic, Gail McLaughlin says they treat a wide range of issues.
"The clinic that we're offering at the Salvation Army is for diabetics. We offer diabetic and advanced foot care, so it's for less fortunate. We don't have an age restriction so whoever is in need of foot care, that's who we're going to service and not just foot care, it can be wound care as well that we're taking care of. We're taking care of corns, calluses, ingrown's, fungal infections, you name it."
The fundraiser will feature a silent auction, along with an activity table for children, face painting, bake table, barbeque and refreshments.
Organizer Rebecca Surette says people can bid on different items.
"We're trying some formal dresses for prom, we've got local businesses that have donated all sorts of gift certificates. We're really having fun with this and we'd really appreciate any help we can get in supporting Gail and our community and their needs."
Proceeds will go towards equipment and supplies for the clinic.
Items can be paid by debit or cash only and the public can pick them up on the day of the auction.
The event is at the Salvation Army Church on May 4th from 11:00am to 3:00pm.
