Practice your air guitar and show off your biggest 80s hair for RAK Everywhere's next fundraiser to help fund acts of kindness
WOODSTOCK - RAK-Everywhere is hosting a fundraiser dance at Goff Hall in Woodstock.
They will be doing an 80's theme event called Ballroom Blitz on Saturday April 23rd. Co-Founder Lori Horton tells Heart FM some of the things they do at RAK-Everywhere.
"We try to perform random acts of kindness, if someone is in need and it is brought to our attention we help whenever possible. The one thing we pride ourselves on is because everything is done out of our home we really have no overhead and pretty much every dollar that is brought in is used to help those in need. Some of the things we have done include purchasing an AED for Andrew Stoddart's Legacy, we just did a fundraiser for Yuk Yuks in February where all of the money went to PTSD Battlecry, we have done Christmases for children that have had cancer or had just lost a parent."
Horton says the funds from the dance will go towards the organization to help them perform more random acts of kindness in the community.
"We are having games, an air guitar contest, we would love it if people dress up with an 80's costume, big hair contest, moonwalk contest and it is all dancing to 80's music all night long."
Tickets are $10 and can be purchased by calling 226-228-8028 or e-mail info@RAKEverywhere.org
