The fundraiser for Hearts for Ethiopia includes interactive education in addition to an outdoor walk.
WOODSTOCK - It's a chance to learn more about Hearts for Ethiopia and it's projects overseas.
A Walk In Their Shoes will be taking place at Maranatha Christian Reformed Church on Saturday October 18th from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Founder Shelley Green says there is an educational portion of this event in addition to the outdoor walk.
"We have some interactive education inside the church including some videos, presentations and also a Q&A so people have the opportunity to ask questions to better understand these peoples lives that we will be presenting on."
She those who attend will know exactly how the funds raised will be spent and how it will change lives.
"People will leave definitely knowing actual real lives and hearing how extreme poverty has impacted every aspect of their lives and not only that, they will understand how the funds we're raising changes those lives."
Attendees will also be able to check out the silent auction, Ethiopian Merkato, the Discover Ethiopia Contest and an Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony.
