The 25th annual Zonta Golf Classic will be happening at Craigowan Golf Club on Wednesday June 7th. The theme this year is Women Around the World with Zonta.
WOODSTOCK - The Zonta Club of Woodstock is ready to putter up on the greens as it gears up for its annual golf fundraiser.
The yearly event helps to raise funds for women and girls in the community while encouraging friendships, laughs, and exercise.
This is the 25th year for the Zonta Golf Classic, and President Maria Odumodu says they are proud to be able to dedicate this year to Women Around the World.
"We have 12 women from around the world and they have in their own way contributed to the importance of women empowerment."
Each of the 12 women will be featured on signs posted throughout the golf course. Each sign will include a biography so golfers can read more about these women and how they have each made a difference around the world.
Club member Pat Fray says there will be lots of prizes up for grabs, including a hole-in-one contest with the winner taking home a trip to Hawaii.
The Zonta Golf Classic is taking place at the Craigowan Golf Club on June 7th. Visit the Zonta Club of Woodstock to register for the event.
