Cyclists will be taking over Woodstock on Sunday for the Ride Don't Hide fundraiser for CMHA Oxford.
WOODSTOCK - There's still time to register for this years Ride Don't Hide fundraiser. Cyclists will embark on four different routes on June 26th, an 8km, 13km, 50km and there is also a new 100km route this year.
Kathleen Campbell-Conlon, Community Engagement Coordinator says the CMHA will be taking the proper precautions to make sure all the cyclists are having a fun and safe time.
"We have cars that are following them and making sure that everyone is getting back safely and that everyone is being hydrated. In the event that it is super hot we have rest stops, we have first aid stations. We are planning ahead of time to make sure that everyone has a safe time."
Campbell-Conlon adds those who participate also have the chance to win some awesome prizes.
"We have prizes as well for our top funders. So our top team gets a night out at Kelsey's or Montana's, there's a Leaf jersey available, there's some cool gift cards. It's not a race, it's a ride but we are encouraging people to challenge your friends, challenge your family, and see who can raise the most money."
All of the money raised will benefit the Canadian Mental Health Association.
It costs $35 to register and those who sign up will get a free t-shirt along with a special goodie bag. Kids 12 and under are free, but if they would like a t-shirt it would cost $12.
