The Runway of Stars will take over the Oxford Auditorium on Thursday May 2nd in support of WDDS.
WOODSTOCK - The Runway of Stars is back after a five-year hiatus!
The fundraiser for Woodstock and District Developmental Services (WDDS) will take over the Oxford Auditorium on Thursday May 2nd this year. Communications Coordinator and Fund Developer Krysten Maclean says they're happy to bring back this one-of-a-kind fundraiser.
"So Runway of Stars is our big runway fashion show fundraising event where the folks that we support walk down the runway with our local leaders, our first responders, and people in our community that are just stars that people really love and recognize."
Maclean says they're hoping to have 15 to 25 pairings walk the runway this year.
"Our internal models put forward their applications to walk the runway and we also have our community members. So we want to know who you think is a community star, and you can nominate them on our website."
The evening will also include delicious food, door prizes, raffles, and live music.
Tickets are on sale now for the early bird price of $55 each or $550 for a table of 10. The price will increase to $65 per person after February 26th.
WDDS supports adults living with developmental disabilities in Oxford County, with services ranging from in-home supports to employment services. Maclean says WDDS employs about 250 people, and they support about 300 to 400 people each year.
Krysten Maclean stopped by the Heart FM studio with an interview with Dan and Marcie on Wednesday February 14th. You can listen to the full interview below:
