The Salvation Army Thrift Store on Huron St. has a brand new look for their grand reopening this weekend.
WOODSTOCK - It's a big weekend for the Salvation Army Thrift Store in Woodstock as they get set for a grand reopening.
The Thrift Store on Huron Street has been closed all week for renovations.
Several events are planned for Saturday starting at 11 a.m. with a ribbon cutting ceremony with Mayor Trevor Birtch. They will also have a barbeque and a performance by the Pendel Brass and Singers.
Director of Family and Community Services at the Salvation Army Vanessa Giuliano tells Heart FM they wanted to clean up the store to compete with some of the other thrift shops in town.
People who come out this weekend will see shelves fully stocked, clean floors, a new paint job and a different layout for the store. Giuliano adds they will also be having several in store promotions including a new promotion every hour and some amazing manager specials, a free barbeque for the community and a performance by the Pendel Brass and Singers.
The barbeque will run from 11 a.m to 2 p.m on Saturday.
All of the items in the Thrift Store are donated by the community and any proceeds the Salvation Army makes goes right back into the community.
