None were injured in the first, but three were injured in the second of two collisions during the same afternoon in East Zorra-Tavistock.
EAST ZORRA-TAVISTOCK - Two collisions have occurred in the Township of East Zorra-Tavistock within hours of each other.
At approximately 12:00 p.m. on July 12, members from the Oxford detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a two-vehicle collision between a pick-up truck and a mini-van at the intersection of Maplewood Side Road and the 16th Line.
No injuries were reported and the at fault driver, a 43-year-old resident from Mississauga, was charged with Careless Driving.
Later that same afternoon, at approximately 4:00 p.m., members from Oxford OPP responded to another collision.
That collision was located at the intersection of Highway 59 and Maplewood Side Road, and involved a transport truck as well as a passenger vehicle.
Three occupants were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries and the at fault driver, a 43-year-old resident from Mississauga, was charged with Careless Driving.
Police would like to remind drivers to always be aware of your surroundings, particularly throughout summer vacation season as people often drive on roadways they are not familiar with.
