Scammers are hitting Brant County residents claiming to work for the county and are trying to get access to your water system.
BRANT COUNTY - Brant County is alerting residents of scammers targeting residents claiming to be County workers and attempting to get access to water systems.
The county would like to make it clear with some tips; starting off with all staff will call you to book an appointment in advance before coming to your door, in a county marked vehicle and with a identification badge on. If you have any concerns or are unsure of who your talking to call the county office at 519-449-2451.
If you feel as though you are a victim of a scam or fraud, contact the County of Brant OPP at 1-888-310-1122 right away.
