The Ingersoll and District Inter-Church is accepting monetary donations for the victims of last weeks apartment fire.
INGERSOLL - The Ingersoll and District Inter-Church is looking to help the victims of the apartment fire on Thames Street.
No one was injured but several families lost their homes when the historical building went up in flames last Tuesday.
Inter-Church Chair Jane Reynolds says they're teaming up with two local businesses.
"We have coordinated with the This & That store in downtown Ingersoll and with the Salvation Army in Ingersoll to receive donations of small household items."
Reynolds says they don't need any furniture or toy donations at this time; adding they don't have the storage space.
"Right now as far as we understand the victims are in temporary housing and it will take a little bit of time for them to relocate into a more permanent situation. At that time we would probably require some furniture to assist them."
Anyone who would like to donate a couch or a bed to the cause should contact at the Inter-Church at 519-933-7730 at a future date.
The Ingersoll and District Inter-Church is also accepting monetary donations.
