The elderly of Woodstock are being honoured with senior's month.
WOODSTOCK - It's Seniors Month in the Friendly City.
An official proclamation was made in Woodstock City Council Chambers.
Mayor Trevor Birtch says they wanted to honour our local elders.
"The proclamation is to recognize all of the valuable contributions that seniors have made in our community and continue to make. It's also to encourage other people to seek out their wisdom and guidance."
Birtch adds the plaque will be on display at South Gate Centre.
"The proclamation will reside there and more information can be found through Facebook and on their website about all of the great activities they have for the month, where people can get involved and learn more about how seniors contribute."
