UPDATE: OPP have confirmed one person has died following the crash yesterday afternoon near Thamesford. The deceased has been identified as 27 year-old Mayank Kumar of London. The occupant of the passenger vehicle, who had to be extricated from the wreckage, succumbed to their injuries after being transferred to hospital. The road was closed for approximately for five hours to allow the OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) to conduct an investigation. All roads in the area are now open.
THAMESFORD - One person is facing serious injuries after a collision between a dump truck and a passenger vehicle near Thamesford.
The crash happened this afternoon at the intersection of County Road 64 and 17th Line, south of Thamesford around 3:15 p.m. The passenger in the one vehicle had to extricated from the wreckage and was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
The intersection is closed to traffic for the duration of the investigation. Expect traffic delays in the area.
