A woman had to be extricated from her vehicle and transported to hospital with serious injuries after two cars collided on Highway 59 early this morning.
EAST ZORRA TAVISTOCK - Charges have been laid after a serious collision on Highway 59 in East Zorra Tavistock.
According to Oxford OPP, a Chevy car was travelling northbound when it crossed into oncoming traffic and hit a southbound Hyundai car early this morning.
The Hyundai came to a rest in the ditch while the Chevy left the roadway and hit a tree.
The female driver of the Hyundai had to be extricated from her vehicle and taken to hospital with serious injuries. Her adult male passenger sustained minor injuries.
The driver of the Chevy, 20 year old Christopher Whetstone of Woodstock, also sustained minor injuries and is facing multiple impaired driving charges. His license has been suspended for 90 days and his vehicle has been impounded for a week.
