Oxford OPP are encouraging drivers to be extra cautious on the roads this evening.
OXFORD COUNTY - Oxford OPP are reminding drivers to be extra cautious on the roads out there, as they respond to multiple weather related collisions.
The weather conditions have been changing from rain, to snow, to ice. This has resulted in wet and icy conditions on the roads, so make sure you leave lots of space between yourself and the vehicle ahead of you.
OPP say you should also do the following before you take off for the weekend;
- Pack an emergency safety kit with water, blankets, a flashlight, a charged cell phone and food.
- Make sure you vehicle is in full working order, with topped up fluids and snow tires.
- Check road and traffic conditions before hand.
OPP say you should also have your seat belt on and use your headlights at all times.
