Briefs include a smash and dash in Burford and a 5 car pileup on HWY 24 in Brant County.
BURFORD - Brant OPP are investigating after a smash and dash at the Burford Community Centre.
Police were called to the arena on Monday night after someone crashed into a 2007 Toyota Cube that was parked in the parking lot. The owner of the Cube didn't notice the car had been hit until they left the arena. Obviously whoever smashed into the vehicle took off without leaving a note or trying to communicate with the person. The crash would have happened between 8 pm and 10:45 pm on Monday night.
No word at this time as to how much damage was caused. Police are asking anyone who saw any suspicious people or vehicles please contact the County of Brant OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or you can remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at at 1-800-222-8477.

Brant OPP are investigating after a five car pile up on Highway 24 at Howell Road.
The crash happened yesterday around 3:45 p.m. Police attended the scene and determined that a North bound vehicle stopped to turn into a private drive way causing traffic to stop suddenly. Several vehicles stopped quickly and five of them rear ended each other.
The investigation caused the closure of Highway #24 for over an hour and resulted in one driver suffering minor injuries.
