All of the fun will begin with a free barbeque in Southside Park on Friday.
WOODSTOCK - Seniors Month is back for another year and being celebrated in Woodstock.
Chris Cunningham, the Executive Director of South Gate Centre, speaks to what the focus is for the month.
"This year's theme is Fit, Active and Healthy Seniors, and it couldn't describe our vibrant community better, especially right here in Woodstock. Each day, I'm inspired by the energy, the kindness, the resilience and the zest for life."
Cunningham says South Gate will be hosting events all month long, including a free barbeque on Friday.
"We've been doing this baby for almost 20 years, and we've got Century 21 Heritage House to thank. Also shout out to them and the volunteers. This year a little twist because of our construction, we're actually going to be down at Southside Park, the bandshell pavilion."
She adds it's free to attend and all you need to bring is your appetite.
You can find a full list of Senior's Month events online here.
Chris Cunningham stopped by the Heart FM studio to chat with Dan and Marcie on Friday May 30th, where she also provided an update on the South Gate Centre expansion. You can listen to the full interview below:
