OXFORD/ST.THOMAS/ELGIN - Southwestern Public Health Unit confirmed 26 new cases of COVID-19 this morning and 25 resolved cases.

10 people are currently being treated for the virus in hospital, including 6 people in the ICU.
The Health Unit says 85.2 percent of residents 12+ have received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and 83.1 percent have been fully vaccinated. The Health Unit is also dealing with an outbreak at Caressant Care Bonnie Place in St. Thomas where 10 residents and 8 staff members have tested positive for the virus. One resident has died from COVID-19 during the outbreak.
