Police have arrested the man they believe is responsible for a crime spree in the City over the weekend.
STRATFORD - Stratford Police have arrested a man they believe is responsible for stealing from cars over the weekend.
The 31 year old man from Stratford was arrested on Wednesday at Wal-Mart after he was allegedly caught using a stolen credit card. Police believe he is responsible for the crime spree last weekend where several vehicles were broken into. A lot of the break ins happened in the 100 block of Graham Crescent. The accused was charged with the following;
- Theft Under $5000 X’s 2
- Possession of Stolen Property Under $5000 x’s 6
- Breach of Probation X’s 3
- Prowl By Night X’s 1
- Fail to Comply to Condition of a Recognisances X’s 2
- Use of a Credit Card X’s 2
- The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing today.
Police did not release his name. The Stratford Police Service is reminding everyone to please ensure your motor vehicles are locked at all times and that your belongings are hidden out of sight when your vehicle is unattended.
