Stuff the Bus Was a Huge Success This Year

Heart FM's Stuff the Bus was a huge success this year, thanks to the generous support from the community.

WOODSTOCK - Heart FM's Stuff the Bus was a huge success this year, thanks to the generous support from the community.

The bus was completely packed with brand new toys and clothes for Operation Sharing's Christmas Place, along with food donations to the Salvation Army.

Heather Cowell with Operation Sharing's Christmas Place says they are absolutely thrilled with the donations this year.

"Just pure bliss, you guys have helped us out year after year, especially with this Stuff the Bus, along with getting the word out about Christmas Place and it is absolutely phenomenal. Last year it was over 300 families that your presents affected and it just makes us, get in the Christmas spirit."

We were also able to drop off close to 4,000 pounds of food to the Salvation Army in Woodstock. Community Ministers Coordinator with the Salvation Army Noel Sterne says they are very grateful for all of the food donations.

"It's huge, it goes beyond the Christmas season, this allows us to serve the community of Woodstock in January, February, March, April, June, August, September, really the whole year."

Organizer of Stuff the Bus and Promotions Director at Heart FM Cody Hayward says we exceeded expectations this year.

"To see the community come together like this, it almost brings tears to my eyes. We are so thankful to everyone who stepped up this year and donated."

Hayward adds that all of this wouldn't be possible without our sponsors and support from the community.

"I really want to thank our sponsors this year, Scott's No Frills, Leaping Deer Adventure Farm and Kelsey's/Montana's in Woodstock. I also have to give a huge shoutout to Elgie Bus Lines for making all this possible. Every year they supply the bus and the driver and have been a huge help in getting this project off the ground."

Also a huge shoutout to the Woodstock Fire Department and Woodstock Police, who helped us unload all of the items and provide an escort to Operation Sharing and the Salvation Army.

That’s it, The bus is empty, thank you to everyone who donated this year, You can continue to donate all year round to Salvation Army and operation sharing.
