SOUTH-WEST OXFORD - A blanket rejection of no increases in speed limits in Oxford County is not going to properly address resident's concerns about safety.
South-West Oxford Mayor David Mayberry says the biggest need is increased enforcement. Mayberry says the posted speed limits are not the problem. The difficulty is with drivers who refuse to obey the posted limits.
Mayberry says more accurate data as far as traffic goes is needed before making any changes and more dialogue with the OPP is necessary to figure out how to deal with lead footed drivers.
