OXFORD/ST.THOMAS/ELGIN - Southwestern Public Health confirmed 24 new cases of COVID-19 this morning and 11 recoveries.
The Health Unit also confirmed the 89th COVID-19 related death in our region this morning and the second death this week. The deceased is a woman in her 70's from Oxford County.

Three people are currently being treated for the virus in hospital. An outbreak has been declared at Elgin Manor in St. Thomas after two residents and two staff members tested positive for COVID-19.
The Health Unit says 86.2 percent of eligible residents have received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and 81.9 percent have been fully vaccinated.
