The health unit says fluoride and sodium are naturally occurring minerals found in the water supply.
OXFORD COUNTY - Southwestern Public Health is issuing its annual reminder on fluoride and sodium in Oxford County drinking water.
Parents with children under seven years old should be aware of fluoride exposure to prevent dental fluorosis, while those on sodium restricted diets unknowingly could be consuming sodium through their drinking water.
Fluoride and sodium are naturally occurring minerals found in the water supply. There are 17 municipal drinking water systems in Oxford County that are monitored 24/7 to ensure safety and quality.
