The company is expanding in the New Year with a new production facility, creating more jobs in the Town of Tillsonburg.
TILLSONBURG - Systemair in Tillsonburg is expanding, creating new jobs in the Town.
The company has purchased a property right next door at 10 Rouse Street with plans to increase their vertical integration. General Manager Rick Kyle says the new property contains an 86,400 square foot building on 19 acres.
"Since Systemair consolidated their operations to Tillsonburg in 2013 with the purchase of our current location at 8 Rouse Street, we have continued to expand our product offerings for both the Canadian and US markets. Purchasing the 10 Rouse Street property will allow us to further consolidate our operations, increase our capacity, introduce new products to the North American market, and at the same time vertically integrate some parts of our supply chain."
The expansion will be done in phases, with production slated to begin this year.
Mayor Stephen Molnar says this is great news for the Town.
"On behalf of Town Council, staff and residents, I would like to congratulate Systemair and their team on this investment to expand their Tillsonburg operations. this will bring a much needed boost to our community as we move forward with recovering from the ongoing pandemic and in creating a brighter future for our Town. Systemair’s expansion will help bring additional work to the area, which means increased job creation and the growth of our manufacturing sector and we look forward to working with them and the Multi-Service Centre to support this growth."
Development Commissioner for the Town Cephas Panschow says as of right now, Systemair is the 10th largest employer in the town with around 90 full time employees.
"With the purchase of the 10 Rouse Street property, Systemair will have a combined property of 25 acres and 128,800 square feet of building area and this will result in them having the 5th largest manufacturing footprint in Tillsonburg."
