The Eppenberger rink from Woodstock qualified for Provincials this past weekend at the qualifiers hosted by the Woodstock Curling Centre.
The Woodstock Curling Club will be represented at the Provincial Championship for Senior Mixed in April.
Team Eppenberger qualified for the Provincials last weekend. They were one of two Woodstock teams in the double knockout competition and actually eliminated the other Woodstock team, Team Blum on the Sunday.
The team skipped by Keith Eppenberger won their first game against Team Blum on Saturday, lost their second match and then won three in a row to qualify.
President of the Woodstock Curling Club Tim Favachio says it was a great weekend of curling in Woodstock.
"We held the qualifiers for the senior mixed provincials and we had two teams entered, Team Blum and Team Eppenberger, it was great curling to watch, it was fun and local. I am proud to say that team Eppenberger is moving onto the Provincials the week of April 13th to the 17th at the Quinte Curling Club in Belleville.
Favachio says it has been a tremendous year for the Woodstock Curling Club.
"We have some great curlers at the Centre, they represent well, whether it is Team Duncan with Rachelle Strybosch who competed at the Scotties, or Team Eppenberger as of late, even our Special Olympics team which won a tankard a few years ago."
Team Eppenberger is made includes Lead, Anne Heppell, 2nd John Farlow, 3rd Lynn Wilson and Skip Keith Eppenberger.
