Teens in Oxford County will be able to show off their photography skills with the Teen Photograph Contest.
OXFORD COUNTY - An annual contest is back in Oxford County.
Community Liaison Coordinator with Oxford County Library, Samantha Coucke with the details.
"So, this year is the 10th annual teen photography contest with Oxford County Library. This program inspires creativity and self-expression in teens across Oxford County. So, teens aged 12 to 18 can submit their photos. We have 4 categories this year."
The categories include Around the World, Activism, Blast from the Past, and Oxford County. Coucke says the Oxford County category is a knod to the anniversaries that are being celebrated around the County this year. She adds there is a deadline that has to be met for anyone participating in the contest.
"All entries must be received by 11:59 PM on August 17th. Please make sure you are attaching your photos and any consent forms that you may need for any subjects that are in your photos as well."
Voting will take place from August 20th to the 26th, with the winners being announced on the 27th. Coucke mentions there will be 7 winners, including a grand prize winner, a winner in each of the four categories, a staff favourite winner, and a photographer choice winner.
