The City of Woodstock is taking a closer look at the way we use water. 14 year old Robyn Hamlyn from Kingston came to council this month asking for Woodstock to become a "Blue Community". She says in order to do that the City would have to pass three resolutions: Ban the sale of bottled water in public facilities and at municipal events, recognize water as a human right and promote publicly financed, owned and operated water and sanitation services. Council received her presentation as information and passed it onto the Environmental Advisory Committee for comment with a report expected back early in the fall.
