Funds are still coming in today as Woodstonians participated in the annual Terry Fox Run on Sunday.
WOODSTOCK - The Woodstock Terry Fox Run has already brought in close to 22,000, with more money expected to come in today.
The virtual race took place yesterday, however about 30 people also showed up in person at CASS. Organizer John Versaevel says other participants were scattered across the City.
"With it being a virtual run, people were doing things on their own in different areas. Some people were hiking the trails around the City, some were biking and some were out with the family, just doing long walks."
He adds money is still trickling in and they're hoping to reach their $25,000 goal.
"Funds will keep coming in, it will be like last year, where we came in about $22,000 and ended up with over $26,000, so we will just have to see how it plays out, but all in all, it's a great start."
All of the money raised at the Terry Fox run will go towards life saving cancer research. Still time to donate and you can find out how, online here.
