Over $27,800 was raised during the Smile Cookie campaign in Thamesford and all of the money will be going to Andrew's Legacy.
THAMESFORD - The Thamesford Tim Hortons had a very successful Smile Cookie Campaign raising $27,872.50.
All of the funds will be going to Andrew's Legacy, a local charity that raises money to install AEDs in public places.
It's in memory of 15-year-old Andrew Stoddart, who passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest on a soccer field in Kintore eight years ago. His mother Cara Schmidt is one of the co-founders of Andrew's Legacy, and she would like to thank everyone who purchased a Smile Cookie during the first week of May.
She would also like to thank everyone who volunteered to help decorate cookies, as well as the management and staff members at the Thamesford Tim Hortons.
