The Thamesford Trojans are hosting a few events this year, including a live auction coming up in May.
THAMESFORD - A variety of events are being put on by the Thamesford Trojans later this year.
The hockey club's live auction will be among them, which will be happening on May 25th.
Executive Director Todd Arthur says they'll accept any item for donations.
"We're looking for general donations, anything and everything that you might want to get rid of this spring we'll gladly take. We can take large items on consignment where you come in and put a value on it and we take a percentage of the sale item as a fundraiser, so we're just looking to see what kind of response we get. We're hoping we get a good one."
Arthur adds they'll also be hosting their annual Fish Fry and golf tournament later this summer.
"The Fish Fry is on June 14th at the Thamesford Rec Centre. Tickets are $125.00 and that's our major fundraiser. And then I can be contacted or the president of the club can be contacted, and our golf tournament, again, is coming up in August at Forrest City National."
Arthur says the prizes for their Fish Fry will be restructured this year.
"You come in and buy your tickets, as I said a major fundraiser where we're restructuring our prizes, but in the past we've had trips and money prizes given away, but this year we're looking at restructuring and re-evaluating our prizes and hopefully can generate a good chunk of money from our Fish Fry."
He says a DJ is tentatively scheduled to play music at this year's Fish Fry, along with karaoke.
