A partnership between Operation Sharing and Zehrs is set to help food programs in Oxford County.
WOODSTOCK - Operation Sharing and Zehrs are teaming up for a fundraiser.
The Great Potato Giveback will be taking place Saturday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Zehrs Manager, Chris Bracey, explains how you can support the drive.
"Customers can come in; they can buy a bag of 10 LB potatoes for $2.00. They can either keep the bag or they can choose to donate it to Operation Sharing. And for every bag that we sell that day, we will make a dollar donation to Operation Sharing on behalf of Zehrs Woodstock."
Executive Director of Operation Sharing, Tim Dukes, says how the potatoes will help after they are donated.
"They're going to support the meal program, our new Pantry program. We have a lot of community partners that were coming together that do food and meals for youth and seniors, and we're looking and hoping to share with everybody. And it's going to be a great event."
Also, if you are at Zehrs, you will be able to spin to win over $1000 in gift cards and prizes, enjoy a BBQ hosted by the Lions Club, and of course help support Operation Sharing!
