It's a team that's struggled both on and off the ice in recent years. But a new Board of Directors is hoping to bring about better years ahead for the Woodstock Navy Vets. The Jr. C team has announced its new board, along with a couple of new initiatives, including social media, an alumni club, and charity game. New team President Devon Young was asked about the prospect of getting the team up to Jr. B. "Certainly, the size of Woodstock would indicate this should be a Jr. B centre. And that's one reason why we would like to take it there. But I feel there's still a lot to accomplish first at the Jr. C level." Young says the new board departmentalizes the operation of the hockey team, which he believes will make it successful on all fronts. "We want to do things right on all fronts whether that's on a fan basis, a player basis, or a sponsorship basis." In an effort to launch the new community feel to the team, the new management has announced a charity game on April 27th against the Woodstock Fire Department. Proceeds will go towards equipment for the Woodstock Hospital. Here's a look at the new management: ? Director of Sponsorship and Advertising President Devon Young ?
