Theatre Woodstock's production of Cinderella was nominated for seven awards and won two of them.
LONDON - Theatre Woodstock took home some hardware at the Western Ontario Drama League Festival (WODL) in London.
It was held on May 17th and 18th and Theatre Woodstock's production of Cinderella back in February was nominated for seven awards. It won two in the end.
Becky Tanton won Best Newcomer for her role as Charlotte. Stephanie MacDonald was also nominated for the award for her role as the Madame.
Kristen Klein and Jocelynne Klein won the Award of Merit Behind the Scenes. Kristen designed the transformation dresses, while Jocelynne was responsible for the Fairy Godmother transformation dress.
Kassidy Davies was nominated for Outstanding Performance in a Supporting Role for her performance as Marie. Emily Wijnker was nominated for Outstanding Direction by First Time Director, and Shannon Wijnker was nominated for Outstanding Musical Direction.
The production was also nominated for the Memorable Moment In a Show Award, for the magical appearance of Cinderella's carriage pulled by a team of dancing horses.
