Oxford OPP were kept busy responding to a number of thefts in Norwich Township over the weekend.
NORWICH TOWNSHIP -- Oxford OPP are investigating a rash of thefts that occurred in Norwich Township over the weekend.
A house on Dover Street in Otterville was broken into between 7:00 and 11:15 pm Friday night. Cash and a cell phone were taken from the home.
Sunday morning while the homeowners were sleeping between 12:00 and 7:00 am, someone entered a George Street residence in Norwich through an attached garage. The suspect or suspects gained entrance into the home through the garage and stole a purse. The purse and its contents were found in the backyard -- tobacco products and cash were stolen.
And between July 26th and 27th, two vehicles on George and Elgin Street were entered as well. A pocket knife and small amount of cash were taken from the George Street location -- the knife was discovered in the Elgin Street vehicle where cash was also taken.
