Parks and Recreation Staff in Woodstock are reminding residents to be cautious around the water right now. The ice is not strong enough to bear any weight on our ponds, rivers, creeks and streams.
WOODSTOCK - The City of Woodstock Parks and Recreation Department has issued a thin ice warning.
Right now we have a thin covering of ice on City ponds, rivers, creeks and storm management ponds. The ice is not strong enough to bear any weight. This includes Southside Park, the Community Complex pond beside Fanshawe College, Brick Pond Wetlands and any other body of water associated with the trail system.
Parks and Rec staff are asking everyone to exercise extreme caution and common sense near the water.
