Oxford OPP responded to a suspicious vehicle call, which ended up with three people being charged.
TILLSONBURG - A suspicious vehicle call leads to charges in Oxford County.
Police responded to the report on Sunday at 7:30 a.m. on Simcoe Street in Tillsonburg, and once on scene a traffic stop was attempted. The vehicle took off at a high rate of speed, and was found later on Plank Line in South-West Oxford. The investigation revealed the vehicle had been stolen, and now 3 people face charges.
A 17-year-old has been charged with flight from a peace officer, dangerous operation, and possession of property obtained by crime over 5-thousand dollars. Also, an 18-year-old St. Catharine's woman, and 19-year-old Howick Township man have been charged with possession of property obtained by crime over 5-thousand dollars.
All three have been released from custody and will appear in a Woodstock Courtroom on a later date. The youth's identity is protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
