A three vehicle crash in Woodstock left a young child trapped for a short time Wednesday. Police say shortly before 3:30 pm, a southbound 1998 Oldsmobile failed to stop for the red light at Wilson Street and Main Street, striking at 2006 Hyundai that was travelling west on Main. The collision caused the Hyundai to hit an eastbound dump truck. A three year-old child in the rear seat was trapped for a short time before emergency crews were able to free the child. The driver of the Hyundai and the child were taken to Woodstock Hospital suffering from what police called chest and spinal injuries. There injuries were considered non-life threatening. The 20 year-old Woodstock man driving the Oldsmobile has been charged with Careless Driving.
