Arson is suspected in a trailer fire at Pittock Conservation Area. Around 9:15 last night, emergency crews were called to the campground, which isn't open for camping season yet. They found a 2002 mobile trailer fully engulfed in flames. Fire Prevention Officer Jeff Slager says due to the size of the unit, water capabilities on the fire was more than enough to battle the flames. "They were able to knock the unit down quickly due to the size. They did a quick search to make sure there was no one inside." Slager says since there was no hydro, gas or anything else that could have led to an accidental ignition to the empty unit, the Fire Department turned the case over the Woodstock Police to investigate as an arson. The trailer was completely destroyed. Damage is pegged at $4000 - $5000.
