TurtleFest will be taking over Tillsonburg next Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
TILLSONBURG - TurtleFest will be taking over the town of Tillsonburg once again.
The three day celebration will kick off next Friday; with a free Downtown Block Party.
Marketing and Communications Officer Colleen Pepper says they have great entertainment on tap.
"We'll have the Lumberjack Show, we've got Major League Circus returning and Chalk Master Dave who is considered the best 3D chalk artist in Canada."
The evening will also include live music by four country music acts; Leah Daniels, Andrew Hyatt, Nicole Rayy and Buck Twenty.
The festivities will move to Memorial Park for the Saturday and Sunday. That's where they will hold the Carver Kings demonstration, the Canine Watersports Competition and the Creative Imaginations Festival.
Pepper says they also have a special performance lined up.
"On the Saturday evening at 7 p.m. it's Whiskey Jack presenting the stories and songs of Stompin' Tom. This is a gentleman who actually used to play with Stompin' Tom and has lots of great anecdotes about what that was like."
You can find more information on the Tillsonburg Turtlefest website and Facebook page.
TurtleFest is an annual celebration held in memory of George Tillson; the town founder. Before he passed he promised to return as a turtle in another life, to see how the town is prospering.
