TILLSONBURG - It's Turtlefest weekend in the Town of Tillsonburg.
The opening ceremonies will be taking place at the Station Arts Centre from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. this evening, where people can also check out the Slow and Steady exhibit.
The festivities will then move to Annandale National Historic House for rock painting, dinner, treats, and a screening of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Tomorrow's schedule includes a petting zoo and 360 Booth on Broadway, the Carver Kings in the LCBO parking lot, and a Food Truck Fairway on Brock Street East. There will also be live music from Texas King, Gavin McLeod and more. You can find the event schedule in the Facebook at the bottom of this article.
Turtlefest is a town-wide festival that takes place every Father's Day weekend. It's in honour of George Tillson, the founder of the town who once believed that he would be reincarnated as a turtle, so he could return and see how his town was thriving.
