A man and a woman were arrested after reports of shoplifting on Tuesday night. The charges against the man also include carry a concealed weapon and drug trafficking.
WOODSTOCK - Woodstock Police arrested two people after a report of shoplifting in the area of Clarke Street and Dundas.
The call came in on Tuesday just after 6 pm. A 33 year old woman from Woodstock was arrested with theft under $5,000.
The investigation led police to arrest and charged a 25 year old man from Woodstock with the following charges:
- Obstruct Peace Officer
- Theft Under $5000 – Shoplifting
- Possession of Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
- Carrying a Concealed Weapon
- Possession of Over 30g Dried Cannabis (or equivalent) in a Public Place
- Possession for the Purpose of Distributing
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine
- Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
Police did not release the names of either suspects.
